Local and well known resident David Gillingwater will be our piper

and will make the traditional Address to the Haggis. During the

evening we will be treated to Scottish Country dancing from the

Anglo Scottish Society of Ipswich, after a buffet meal of your choice

from our menu below.

Celebrity Encounters And The Triumph Of Comedy

Jon Canter is a comedy writer, novelist and playwright who has lived in

Aldeburgh since 1993 and is a Trustee of the Cinema and a co-founder

of the Aldeburgh Comedy Weekend. His tragic-comic play A Short

Gentleman, adapted from his novel, had its premiere at the Comedy

Weekend in 2025.

Quiz Night and Fish & Chip Supper

Our esteemed Quizmaster Andrew Drummond will be testing

your knowledge in a fun packed quiz for all the ages. No

peeking at mobile phones, no calling a friend, this will test

your knowledge of everything from current affairs to ancient

history.

We ask that you organize yourselves into teams of 6. If not you

can be allocated to teams on the night.

Event No. 7 – AGM and Buffet - Old Generator Station

Enjoy a welcome glass of wine then a delicious 2 course buffet supper

prepared by The Old Generator Station's Kerry & Martin of a selection

of meats , fish and vegetarian options with a lovely selection of salads

and new potatoes. This is followed by a choice of desserts and cheese

and biscuits and tea/coffee and herbals. Attend the AGM to

support the Club and then a relaxed meal together.
